Arrow Child & Family Ministries provides child welfare and education services for abused and neglected children and families in crisis.
When Laura Pontikes, executive vice president of Satterfield & Pontikes, toured the Arrow facility late last year, it was clear the space and mechanical systems were in desperate need of upgrading. Laura and George, the CEO of S&P, immediately sought the help of PBK Architects as well as their own family of companies. In short order, more than 40 different design and construction companies willingly joined the renovation team.
The goal was to renovate the space into a clean, modern and cheerful place where those, many suffering from trauma, who walked through the Arrow doors could feel comfortable, safe and cared for by experts.
“Amy Norris, Thank you so much for being a part of this amazing experience. I appreciate all that you did to help complete this rebuild in only 92 days. I had a blast working with you and your team on this project. It was amazing to see our teams come together to complete something greater than any of us could imagine, and to really see Arrow’s mission take on a life of its own. Your contributions have impacted thousands of children’s lives. I think this is the best story of 2020!” Nic Flannery, Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, Inc.
